Spiderfish 'Tew (Spiderfish Two)
Spiderfish 'Tew (Spiderfish Two) is a subsidiary of Spiderfish Stew, available for "weddings parties anything"! Ginny & Dave have entertained folk young and old at birthday celebrations, Hawaiian theme parties, Fremantle Carnevale, house concerts & other community events. The duo offers a broad selection of pleasing ukulele arrangements: Hawaiian & islander songs, originals, nostalgia, instrumentals, kids songs & your favourite 60s 70s 80s and contemporary favourite pop and rock tunes. Play-a-Story
Play-a-Story is a magical new Simply Music piano program, ideal for
4-7 year olds. Take your child on a wonderful, musical journey through the 'window' of their imagination. Through PAS, children develop a strong sense of their own musicianship,
composing their own breathtaking, nature-inspired songs at the piano.
PAS is both a stand-alone program, & an ideal stepping stone which provides a solid basis for the Simply Music piano program.

An Advanced Teacher, I have over ten years teaching Simply Music. to students, aged 7 to 77, both individually & in groups..
Simply Music is an Australian-developed piano program and the largest playing-based music organization in the world. The program is producing unprecedented results in the area of playing, composition
and musical self-expression. Simply Music is founded on the premise that we are all naturally musical- we just need a truly supportive, positive environment in which to develop and express our musical selves!
Just as children learn to talk before they can read and write, we delay the reading process and get students of all ages playing a wide variety of pop, classical, blues jazz and accompaniment pieces, as well as developing their ability to compose and improvise. Through the hands-on, learning-by-doing methodology, and with the help of the excellent Student Home Materials, students play a wide variety of pieces, confidently, with both hands, and without needing music in front of them, from their very first lessons. We then introduce the valuable skills of theory and reading in a way that is relevant, natural and simple.
The ukulele is rapidly making a come back as the instrument of the people, because it is fun to play, easy to learn and sounds great immediately!
I have performed in Spiderfish Stew ukulele band and local ukulele collectives, as well as embracing ukulele as a solo performance instrument for my own original songs. I can show you how to get the most out of your ukulele: simply ways to make chord-playing sound great, using rhythm, fingerpicking, a neat way to demystify "the blues", and how to create smooth arrangements of songs.

I've sung for many years in a variety of settings: in choirs, on trains, in festival tents, at comedy venues, in people's loungerooms & in acappella groups! I've directed community choirs (incl. 'Ocean' Fremantle & 'Heart & Soul' Mandurah), facilitated 'vocal noshes' & run singing groups through TAFE. I have been writing acappella, acoustic & comic songs since 1997. I've arranged many songs for voice (acappella) some of which feature on the One Voice Choir & Ocean choir EPs (see music player below), with Eugene McGrath as choir drummer, as well as instrumental arrangements in various ensembles. I've had the great pleasure of collaborating with many other locally celebrated singers & musicians. My songs have been chosen for various occasions, including the1998 Fremantle Festival opening and Animocean on Bathers Beach, Fremantle Festival 2003. I currently arrange material for voice, piano & most of all ukulele, & I sing solo or in duos & trios from time to time.
